In the Region of South Moravia people can sort paper, plastics(either for mixed ones, or for PET bottles only), glass (coloured or colourless glass), beverage cartons, metals and, further, hazardous components of municipal waste, organic waste, bulky waste and WEEE.
Various collection methods are used for municipal waste sorting. For instance, the methods of collecting waste in bins/containers and in bags differ each other it their technical aspects.
In the Region of South Moravia there is located the biggest glass waste processing plant in the country.
